It has been way too long since we updated content on this trifle of a blog!
2019 has proven to be the most challenging year when it comes to technical hitches. Bots and stream rippers mainly from Asian and European counties tend to mess with the DSP, causing issues that throw the station off the air. We're keeping a sharp eye out, making sure that YOU can depend on Event Horizon 24/7.
Been taking the helm more and more this year, doing live shows, taking the listener on a journey through the audio medium. Uphill work. Quite frankly Event Horizon is a bare bones operation, lean and mean. Bringing a live experimental show, on an experimental digital station, playing experimental music, using experimental digital technology... Talk about a ride! Once we get the sound right, I plan on doing a weekly live broadcast, cherry picking the best of the best from our oversized playlist on a weekly basis.
WELCOME SOULARFLAIR! We're consistently adding new artists to the rundown of the station, but Soularflair keys in hard to the avant-garde genre. Eloquent in musical composition, intelligent in the use of more. Honored to add him to our galaxy of artists from around the globe!
Audio theater to undergo a change soon. We love audio theater, especially sci-fi and thrillers. It's how the station got started, however timing is everything.... Stay tuned!
Listener-ship is through the roof so far this year, as well as a HUGE engagement in 2018. It's a humbling and gratifying experience to know so may enjoy something in the audio medium that takes jazz and audio composition to the extreme, embracing what we refer to as "theater of the mind".
